weekend in historic Downtown Paris. Celebrating visual

arts, the event takes place the last full weekend each
September and is
sponsored by the Downtown Paris Association (DPA).

of Paris Weekend” Seeks Artists
(June 24, 2009) Arts 'Round the Square (ARTS), the
centerpiece of Eye-Full of Paris
Weekend, has issued a call for artists to show, sell and
demonstrate their wares during the September 26, 2009
event. Held from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on the lawn
of Henry County’s historic courthouse, ARTS is
co-sponsored by the Paris-Henry County Arts Council and
the Downtown Paris Association.

Honoring Director of the W.G. Rhea Library, Connie
McSwain

22, 2009) Several Downtown Paris Association
members were on hand at a recent reception honoring
Director of the W.G. Rhea Library, Connie McSwain.
The DPA presented Connie with a plaque featuring a poem
written for Connie entitled "God Broke the Mold."

“24” Memorabilia Auction is Explosive
(March 20, 2009) Need a little of Jack Bauer’s

Bringing
The Arts To Storefronts
(February 23, 2009) Art can be found just about
everywhere in Paris. A new venue are the empty
storefronts at the former Office Concepts building,
where the Tennessee River Fine Arts League (TRFAL) has
set up a display of members' paintings. A second
storefront at the site will hold a display for the
Children's Theater.

President from “24” Hosts Fundraiser in Paris, Tennessee
(October
30, 2008) What U.S. president drives a hybrid,
lives in a 600 square foot home and is holding a town
hall meeting and fundraiser in Paris, TN? The answer is
President Allison Taylor (a.k.a. Cherry Jones) from the
hit TV drama “24”. Event tickets go on sale Saturday,
November 1.
Jones, a Henry County
native will visit Paris on Saturday, April 18, 2009 for
four back-to-back fundraising events, all keyed around
“24” which airs on the FOX network in January. “This
will be a full day of activities for fans of ‘24’ or for
those who are curious about working in television,” said
Jones.
