(August 23, 2010) It’s music, it’s theater, it’s art,
it’s the annual Eye-Full of Paris Weekend in historic
Downtown Paris. Celebrating visual and performing arts,
the event takes place the last full weekend each
September and is sponsored by the Downtown Paris
Association (DPA).

Treats on Downtown Streets for Tasty Fundraiser
(July 9, 2010) Tickets are available for the first ever,
all-you-can-eat, Downtown Paris Ice Cream Social, slated
for Saturday, July 31. A minimum donation of $10 is
requested for adult tickets and a $5 donation for
children under 12. The 2010 beneficiary is R.E.A.L. Hope
Youth Center.

Weekend Vocal Classes Open at Lee Academy
(February 1, 2010) Lee Academy for the Arts is proud to
announce weekend vocal classes instructed by opera
singer Nancy Collins Wise of Memphis, Tennessee. Wise, a
native of Henry County has performed with Southern Opera
Theatre of Memphis and the Houston Grand Opera in such
productions as The Marriage of Figaro, The Pirates of
Penzance, La Boheme, Carmen and Don Giovanni, as well as
several world premiere operas. She has been a soloist
with The Memphis Knights, the Memphis Jazz Orchestra and
the Memphis Vocal Arts Ensemble. Wise is currently a
vocal instructor/coach in Memphis.
A former member of Henry County High School Madrigals,
Wise was a member of Tennessee’s All-State Chorus.
Private
classes begin Saturday, February 6 and may be scheduled
from 10:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Lessons are $30 per
half-hour. Extended lesson times also are available.
Sunday classes will be added as needed. To schedule a
